Ad-people (apparently in great numbers) used to think that the best way to get people into something was to depict other people with zonked-out smiles while standing in the general area of the product in question. These smiles are almost never quite right-looking. This is the period of history that also brought us widespread mandatory psycho-surgery. |

This card was mailed in 1957 from Cresco. In the handwriting of a 4-year old, the message reads: “Well it sure is nice to be married. I never had it so good. We stoped [sic] at the Roosevelt and had a very nice time. We’ll see you soon.”
